Alisha Ladenburg, PT, DPT

Alisha's path to physical therapy is one of the more intentional on the team, and that intentionality shows in how she practices.

She began her career not in a clinic but in patient advocacy in Washington, DC, where she spent years creating and managing programs and resources for patients, providers, and caregivers. She understood the healthcare system from the outside before she ever worked inside it. That perspective never left her. When a personal injury brought her through a course of physical therapy, it crystallized something she'd been moving toward: she wanted to be the person on the other side of that experience.

Alisha earned her bachelor's degree in Community Health from the University of Maryland College Park in 2012, then went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. At Shenandoah, she was more than a student. She served as her class's Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity representative, as a student representative on the School of Health Professions Diversity Task Force, and as an active member of the School's Student Diversity Advisory Group. In 2023, she was selected as an APTA Association Leadership Scholar, a competitive national recognition from the American Physical Therapy Association for emerging leaders in the field. She officially joined the MOS team in Fall 2024 after completing her clinical rotation at our Germantown office.

Alisha is an active member of the APTA and brings a genuine commitment to improving health outcomes for underserved communities. This is a thread that runs from her advocacy work through her doctoral training and into the way she approaches each patient.

Outside the clinic, Alisha stays active through soccer, tennis, pickleball, and swimming. She also plays video games, hunts down new cuisines, and is on a perpetual search for the next great tea.
