Brandon Nguyen, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist | Doctor of Physical Therapy
About Brandon
Brandon Nguyen first came to Maryland Orthopedic Specialists in 2019 as a physical therapy student. The fit was clear from the start. He officially joined the team in December 2020, and has been building his practice here ever since.
Brandon earned his B.S. in Health Science from Washington Adventist University in 2017, where he was also a member of the Acrobatic Gymnastics team. That discipline demands body awareness, precision, and trust between teammates, qualities that translate directly into how he works with patients. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University in 2020, with clinical rotations spanning pediatrics, vestibular rehabilitation, neurology, and orthopedics. It was orthopedics (and the long-arc work of helping people rebuild after injury) where he found his focus.
He is fluent in Vietnamese, making him an important resource for Vietnamese-speaking patients across both our Bethesda and Germantown locations.
Brandon's approach is defined by patience, adaptability, and a genuine investment in each patient's specific situation. It is the kind of care that earns trust not just once, but twice:
"Brandon has been exceptional throughout my son's ACL recovery journey. Not once, but twice, after a devastating re-tear that required revision ACL reconstruction. As parents, there was tremendous comfort in knowing Brandon would again be guiding his recovery. His expertise, encouragement, patience, and genuine care helped our son rebuild strength, confidence, and trust in his knee. Brandon always took the time to explain, motivate, adapt, and support. We are forever grateful."
"Brandon has always been a great therapist and always goes the extra mile to make sure things are moving in the right direction. He also goes out of his way to make sure we are able to schedule appointments around my schedule, which is much appreciated."
"Brandon is always super helpful when it comes to addressing any concerns I may have. It has never been a problem for him to alter the workouts or reevaluate depending on the day and how I'm feeling. I have always had a wonderful experience working with him and the rest of the staff."
Outside the clinic, Brandon lifts weights, plays recreational volleyball, and makes a point of exploring cuisines from as many places as he possibly can.
