Nia Yun, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
About Nia
Nia Yun brings something most physical therapist assistants don't: a decade of diverse clinical experience across the country, a personal trainer's eye for fitness integration, and a genuine passion for sports medicine that's been there from the start.
A Maryland native, Nia earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland before heading to Los Angeles, where she spent ten years building a clinical resume that spans in-patient rehabilitation, palliative care, home health, and occupational health. That breadth gives her a rare ability to meet patients where they are — whether they're recovering from surgery, rebuilding strength, or working toward a performance goal. Since returning to Maryland, she's channeled that range back into the area she loves most: integrating rehabilitation and fitness to help people at every stage of life reach their full potential.
Nia is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and a certified personal trainer through the American Sports and Fitness Association (ASFA). Her clinical focus is sports medicine and post-operative rehabilitation — helping patients not just recover, but come back stronger.
Her commitment to care extends well beyond the clinic. Over the years, Nia has volunteered as part of medical missions and humanitarian initiatives across four continents — including physical therapy support at a teaching hospital in Nigeria, refugee relief work in Germany and China, and youth education programs in Ghana — driven by a deep belief in advocating for underrepresented and vulnerable communities around the world.
Outside the clinic, Nia has traveled internationally across a wide variety of countries — an enthusiasm for new experiences that shows up in how she approaches patient care. Back home, she's equally happy spending a quiet day with her three dogs.
