Rachel McIntyre, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
About Rachel
Rachel McIntyre is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant at Maryland Orthopedic Specialists, bringing a wealth of diverse clinical experience to the team. Rachel’s history with the practice runs deep; she began her career with the company as a college intern in 2012, building a strong foundation in patient care before earning her PTA degree from Montgomery College in 2020.
Rachel’s clinical journey includes extensive experience across multiple settings. From 2023 to 2026, she served at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she provided vital rehabilitation for active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. Her time there spanned high-acuity environments, including inpatient general surgery, ICU, and complex polytrauma recovery, as well as outpatient orthopedics. This unique background allows Rachel to bring a highly adaptable, empathetic, and comprehensive approach to every patient she treats at MOS.
Beyond her clinical work, Rachel is known for her warm, personable approach -a skill she honed while serving as a dog handler at Walter Reed, facilitating pet therapy visits for patients and staff engagement events. In her free time, she is an avid reader, a fan of live music, and enjoys time with her family and friends. She is proud to have returned to the Maryland Orthopedic Specialists team full-time to continue providing compassionate care to the local community.
