About Will

Will's relationship with Maryland Orthopedic Specialists didn't start with a job offer. It started with a personal experience that changed his direction entirely.

While studying biological sciences at McGill University in Montreal, Will underwent physical therapy for a knee injury. What he encountered in that process (the science behind it, the human connection, the tangible progress) sparked something. He added a kinesiology minor, and by the time he graduated in 2016, he knew where he was headed. He joined the MOS team that same year as a physical therapy aide.

Between his time at McGill and returning to school, Will spent four years running and coaching a not-for-profit wrestling program in Washington, DC called Hustle and Muscle Mat Club. That commitment ran from 2014 to 2018 and speaks to exactly the kind of person he is: someone who shows up, builds things, and invests in other people's development. He went on to earn his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Montgomery College in 2021, and has been a licensed PTA ever since.

Will works across both our Bethesda and Germantown locations, and what he's built here goes well beyond his own patient caseload. He plays a pivotal role in onboarding and training MOS physical therapy aides, organizes internship opportunities, and leads the student preceptor program. This is the pipeline through which many of the practice's most talented therapists have come through the door. When you meet a great MOS therapist, there's a real chance Will had a hand in their development.

His patients feel that same investment in every session:

"Will is very conscientious of your status when you come in and tailors the session accordingly. This flexibility and attentiveness to my current wellbeing is critical to making each session successful and productive. The level of professionalism is high. It motivates me to return and do my follow-up exercises at home. The assistants are very well trained, a plus."

"Will is a great therapist. He has strong knowledge, great sense of humor, great personality, and pushes you appropriately further than you think you can go. I really enjoy his sessions."

"Will is an excellent therapist. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and brings a positive attitude at all times. Always upbeat and more than ready to assist. I am very grateful for his help in my recovery. I would recommend him to my family and friends."

Will is currently working toward his orthopedic specialty certification through the APTA. This is the next step in a career that has never stopped moving forward.
