To further specialize in his field, Dr. Gardiner earned his board certifications in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine.

Dr. Gardiner specializes in all aspects of sports medicine and focuses on shoulder and knee surgeries, including partial and total knee replacements. He is on staff at Suburban Hospital, Shady Grove Hospital, and The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase, all in southern Maryland. Dr. Gardiner also serves as the team physician at Seneca Valley High School and stays involved in the care of athletes at several other local high schools.
